Kirkstall Art Trail is an annual celebration of art in the community, featuring local artists and creative organisations. For two days, venues throughout Kirkstall host a variety of exhibitions, free workshops and activities suitable for all ages and abilities.

The idea for the Art Trail began at St Stephens Community Garden; local volunteers reclaimed this patch of waste ground and thanks to their hard work, generosity and resourceful thinking they created an incredible space for everyone to enjoy.

Around the BBQ in the Community Garden the Kirkstall Art Trail was born, a way to celebrate creativity within Kirkstall. The event started out as a small one day event, showcasing the creativity that Kirkstall had to offer.

In 2016 the Art Trail became a two day celebration of creativity, offering a variety of exhibitions, activities and fun for all. Thanks to funding from the Community Committee we have been able to keep our event free to attend.

The aim of Kirkstall Art Trail is to inspire local engagement with the arts and celebrate the creative talent in and around Kirkstall.
